Im trying to class things up here a bit. I thought this would do the trick.

I have but two days left of my two month hiatus from Law and Order. Where did all the times go? Im really looking forward to going back to work as it means I will have both something to do during the days and a real pay check. Hazah!

I havent been up to much lately. Been spending some quality time at Franklin Park with Chels and Curren, saw The Dark Knight (Go see it. Now. Right now) and thats about it. I plan on seeing The Dark Knight again some time this week on IMAX and then hitting up the new X-Files movie this weekend. It just happens to come out on the 25th. Sunday the 27th MGMT is playing the Pool Party in Williamsburg so I believe there will be a B48 pilgrimage up to see them as well.

Before I changed my layout Chels and I took a walk to Prospect Park and we ended up stopping at Blue Marble Ice Cream on the way back. Its new in the neighborhood, but, its really tasty. Last time I was there I had Peach Sorbet and the time before that I had Mora Sorbet. Its all grass feed/farm fresh, and, Im no ice cream expert, but, this stuff is especial good and I would like to think its because it comes from happy cows. My Dad would like that.

Also, Ive just uploaded a few new pictures to my Flickr from the 19th. Check em out.

I just wanted to share with everyone a couple things I learned while going to and on my 4th of July trip.

1.) New Jersey Transit is lousy. They post your track on reader boards ten minutes or less before the train leaves and when someone walking through the station yells the wrong track and you find out half way down the escalator to that track and you have to turn around and run backwards up said escalator it is hard work. I also understand its hilarious if you are watching me run backwards up the escalator from the top. I only had a huge softball sized duffel bag, a back pack and a purse to hold while I was running as well. Then, when you have two trains leaving within two minutes of each other on tracks across from each other and you cant get down to the tracks for about 5-7 minutes and your train is still sitting there but they wont let you on it, its really, really shitty. I let out my wrath on NJ Transit customer service. Wouldnt you think a service people use on a daily basis like that would be more proficient?
2.) Drinking with Irish boys is a bad idea when all you want to do is talk to there good looking friend who keeps disappearing. Also, doing shots is always a bad idea. You know you've had enough to drink when taking shots sounds like fun. Its not.
3.) Taking Excedrin extra strength makes me feel like this. I should have figured that out Saturday after our drunken 4th of July escapades, but, I didnt. I still felt sick and continued to take it Sunday as well. Taking pills never helped anyone. I need to just stick to water. I think its best.
4.) Connecticut is owned by McDonald. Its full of two lane freeways with all day delays and the only food you can turn off to get is McDonalds. They have double sided pull offs at the same place with McDonalds on both sides. Its disgusting. Just remember, if you have to drive all day through the states of MA, RI, CT, NJ and NY, and you get hungry in CT, exit 18 is your only hope. There is an Arbys there.

If I feel like making an ass out of myself, I will post some pictures of the trip to my flickr. Till then, keep it real.

Oh, hey! I forgot! Im going to Fleet Foxes tonight and might try to hit up The Avett Brothers free show as well, but, I dont really know how possible that is. Ive got to charge my camera.

Im heading out from Brooklyn in a few to meet up with Chels and Curren in the city. We will then proceed together to the lovely state of New Jersey where we will eat, drink and be merry at the Curren residence. After our feast the plan is to get some sleep before we have to get up in the middle of the night, hop into the car, and drive up and over to Massachusetts where we will catch a ferry to Nantucket and pretend like we have tons of money and not a care in the world for the weekend. I hope to accomplish the same thing as always, a tan and a good time. As its been described to me, Nantucket sounds to be like some mythical vacation land with beaches, ocean, swimming pools, tennis courts, bikes and who knows what else. I will try my best to document this with pictures.

Sounds like the Spokane crew is hitting up Deer Park for the 4th which is a excellent place to spend the 4th.

Hope everyone has a safe and fun 4th!
