I made it to Spokane Saturday evening after my first flight out of town was canceled and then re-booked for a later time. Had a delicious dinner at Tomato Street with my family and then proceeded to ruin my right arm by playing the Wii for hours with Ben. Video games make me really intense. Specially when its sports Ive played in real life like tennis, baseball and bowling where, when one holds the Wii remote a certain way, its totally possible to treat the game as if its really happening. I was furiously serving tennis balls and I thought it highly unacceptable if my pitches in Baseball weren't a 94 mph fast ball. Bowling was a little more tame, but, by then my arm would never be the same. Its Wednesday now and my arm is finally starting to be less sore. Ive been wearing Icey Hot to bed each night like a tool. All this from a video game. Honestly.
Other than my many Wii exploits (Ive also been playing Super Mario Galaxy, its a kick in the pants) Ive been hang out outside as much as I can when its not raining or being cold. I took a bike ride Tuesday and on my way back to the house, probably 15 minutes out, it started raining and when I finally got inside I looked hilarious. I had the smarts to wear a rain coat, but, as I was peddling furiously, the hood wasnt staying on so my face was dripping with water. The only living thing around to witness my misery was the cat but even she was looking at me like I was a dumb ass. What can I say, weather.com said the rain would hold off till 4:00 and I got back inside at 2:30.
Tomorrow the weather is supposed to be more summer like with the temp. at 75 so I think my goal of tanning might really happen. It will be a little warmer on Friday so I think Mom and I will head to the lake to lay in the sun. Im looking forward to it a lot.
Spokane feels really empty. Never too many cars on the road and when I go to the super market people are few and far between. Im not sure if its because Im used to so many more people, or, just because Spokane is so much more spread out, but, I dont mind it at all. I havent touch another person unless I have wished to since I got off the plane.
