Wamp Wamp, What it Do, What it Do

Oh Hai, Im 24 now.

I had a BBQ and too much to drink. Someone (Chelsea and Curren) lost interest in my well being and when we ran out of Ciroc, the most delicious vodka ever, they let me waltz out to the bodega, buy some Coke, and then make my own special Captains and Coke drinks. It was a horrible, horrible idea.

Yesterday I was able to recover enough to go see Coldplay at MSG. It was a RAD show. It was like a greatest hits/Viva La Vida set list and they played all over the stage. They had a mini stage off of the big stage they did a few songs on and then they even played in the crowd as well which I totally loved. They had an awesome light set up which was moved a ton, intense rigging and these bangin drop down balls that words, colors, and designs were projected onto or from within. It was a great, great show.

Some pictures from my birthday have made it onto my Flickr. Most of them where taken by Gillian which could explain why my shoes are in there as well as an aerial shot of my room.

So come over, just be patient, and don't worry

My first week in Spokane time crawled by and I felt like I had all the time in the world to do whatever I wanted. Since last Sunday night time has been moving uncharacteristically fast. Ive left some things I really wanted to do till too late and now my Thursday and Friday here might be a little packed. Oh wells.

I took a walk with my Mom this evening and we ran into five deer. Yeah. Five. Two horned guys two kiddies and a Mom. I told my Mom I was going to use her as a human shield if they made a run for us. You never know how crazy these deer are gonna be, see? One year out on a walk I got stared down by one. We walked right by it, and no matter how close we got, it wouldn't move, it just kept looking at us with crazy eyes. I think it had the rabies. Yes.

Sunday, June 22nd, which, just happens to be my birthday, there shall be a BBQ at the 551. I think its going to be pretty classy. I expect Chelsea to show up, more than likely Curren, and, myself. So, if any of you are in the area from like Washington or Oregon, totally stop by. We will make extra JoJo's. Dont be fooled, these JoJo's are a special affair. The recipe is from the Spokesman Review circa April 17th, 1990. Last time Chels tried to make them the apartment filled up with smoke, the fire alarm went off, and we had to open the deck door and use anything we could (brooms, fans, towels, etc) to get the smoke out. Im optimistic that this time will go much smother. If not, we shall eat on the deck.

Also, I do believe Nantucket is a go for the 4th of July. I dont wanna be a Kennedy.

I move in water, shore to shore;

I made it to Spokane Saturday evening after my first flight out of town was canceled and then re-booked for a later time. Had a delicious dinner at Tomato Street with my family and then proceeded to ruin my right arm by playing the Wii for hours with Ben. Video games make me really intense. Specially when its sports Ive played in real life like tennis, baseball and bowling where, when one holds the Wii remote a certain way, its totally possible to treat the game as if its really happening. I was furiously serving tennis balls and I thought it highly unacceptable if my pitches in Baseball weren't a 94 mph fast ball. Bowling was a little more tame, but, by then my arm would never be the same. Its Wednesday now and my arm is finally starting to be less sore. Ive been wearing Icey Hot to bed each night like a tool. All this from a video game. Honestly.

Other than my many Wii exploits (Ive also been playing Super Mario Galaxy, its a kick in the pants) Ive been hang out outside as much as I can when its not raining or being cold. I took a bike ride Tuesday and on my way back to the house, probably 15 minutes out, it started raining and when I finally got inside I looked hilarious. I had the smarts to wear a rain coat, but, as I was peddling furiously, the hood wasnt staying on so my face was dripping with water. The only living thing around to witness my misery was the cat but even she was looking at me like I was a dumb ass. What can I say, weather.com said the rain would hold off till 4:00 and I got back inside at 2:30.

Tomorrow the weather is supposed to be more summer like with the temp. at 75 so I think my goal of tanning might really happen. It will be a little warmer on Friday so I think Mom and I will head to the lake to lay in the sun. Im looking forward to it a lot.

Spokane feels really empty. Never too many cars on the road and when I go to the super market people are few and far between. Im not sure if its because Im used to so many more people, or, just because Spokane is so much more spread out, but, I dont mind it at all. I havent touch another person unless I have wished to since I got off the plane.

The Telectroscope
Friday, June 06, 2008
6:37 PM

I headed down to the Telectroscope today since it wont be around when I get back from Spokane. Its pretty awesome. I wish I would have gone down there sooner to see it so I could have visited more than once. The British people on the other end were very cheery. We managed to communicate with only hand movements that it was sunny and hot in NY, it was raining in London, and that they all liked our view of the Brooklyn Bridge.

Im heading to M.I.A tonight and then I leave tomorrow for the airport at 4:00 AM. Gross. I get into Spokane about 10:00 AM though, I dont actually leave NY till 6:00 AM, so, leaving that early has its advantages. Im so excited to drive around and see all my family. It better warm up though, I have no part in Washingtons on going fight with Global Warming, so, that shit better shape up and start acting like summer while Im there. I needs me a tan.

A few pictures of the Telectroscope are up on my Flickr.

Jersey City Get Down
Sunday, June 01, 2008
2:43 PM

Chels and I ventured out to Jersey City last night for a house warming/birthday party for a co-workers of Chelsea's. As much as I hate NJ, the PATH only took 10 minutes to get over there and the little walk to the apartment wasnt bad at all. We had superbly mixed drinks courtesy of Rodrigo and the best mini home made pizzas EVER. Everything was very delightful. As I know my limits, I tried to keep my cosmo intake to a minimum but Chelsea had about 15 million of them and was entertaining the entire way home.

Before the Jersey adventure we saw the Sexy and the City movie. It was fabulous. If you've ever seen an episode of the series and enjoyed it, I would totally recommend going as you will totally love it.

I think Im finally going to see Indiana Jones tonight. Will let you know.

Also, my flickr now has a few pictures of Chels and I from last night. Check it.
