So, last I left you all, I was recovering from Chelsea's birthday party. Friday was kind of a lax day. We got Chelsea a new phone, an
Envy 2, and then we went to the park and had a little picnic. Afterwards we headed home and ordered August Rush on pay-per view which was really pretty horrible. But I watched it. All.
Saturday I ended up going to a BBQ at Ananda and Jesse's, friends of Chelsea's from Parsons, and spent most of my day there with Chels. Curren and a few friends of hers went to the Mariners/Yankee game and came over later. It was a really diverse crowd. Lots of Canadians, some Australians, and a few Brits. The guys designing the new World Trade Towers were there which was cool. Some gal also brought some home made wine, and, if you know me, Im not really a wine person, but this stuff was A-Okay, so, I had a lot of that. After the BBQ we went to a bar in Greenpoint, the area we were in, called
Lost and Found, even though I kept calling it Hide and Seek, and they gave me free hot dogs with every beer I bought, they also had a two PBR for $5.00 special AND Ski-Ball, so, its kind of like the best bar ever. I mean, if your into that stuff, which, you should be.
Sunday we spent most of the day in Prospect Park and I of course got sun burnt. We had a Lincoln Deli sandwich picnic, the best kind, and played some really intense Frisbee which made me look super athletic and fit. I was the VIP. That night we ended up in Bushwick at Micah's place, on the top deck at another huge BBQ. Micah's building has four top floor apartments with a deck on each top floor. They are all divided by fences, but, they are easily jumpable, and, this was a two deck party where I just happened to learn the best game ever. Its called Boxing. You need four people to play. To boxers, and two trainers. The boxers have shot glasses full of beer in front of them, one each, and its the trainers job to keep them full at all times. The boxers roll one dice each, and, who ever gets the lower roll has to drink. Now, you do this for three minutes, for three rounds with one minute breaks in between. If the boxer you are playing with gets too drunk or throws up, they are KOed, and, you win. There are also a few doubles rules, but, I wont get into those. I never played three rounds in a row as I was sure I might die, but, I played a lot, and, its a really good, fun, social game. Also, you get real drunk.
Today we headed down to Park Slope to the Barnes and Noble there. We were going to have lunch down there, but, Curren got a text from Ambika (sp?) who was flying from Cairo to JFK, thus, coming to stay with us, so, we had to head home so she wasnt stranded at our apartment. It worked out for the best though because she got in and then we went to a new place by our Apt called
Abigail's. They have there the most delicious smoked Mac and Cheese ever to be created. They also had Rhubarb crumble as a desert option so it was kind of a perfect meal. Afterwards we hit up Franklin park for more drinking and have just now gotten home. Im really tired and I'll probably go to sleep pretty early, but, right now we are hanving an MGMT dance party so Im totally in.
Hope everyones weekend was lovely!
