Ahem.
551 is currently classing up the neighborhood with networked file sharing. Chels, Curren and I share various data types this way and its pretty slick. In an apartment or house situation with multiple computers, why wouldn’t you do this? You should. Do it and stop being an rtard. I've also enabled all sharing of songs through iTunes, password protected of course, and thats awesome as well.
I went to
Union Hall this weekend with Curren for
L'amour (or Less): An evening of rock from Paris to Brooklyn. We showed up in the middle of Die Romantik's set and heard most of it from our hall seats while we were waiting to get inside. They were awesome. I checked them out on myspace afterwards and Im really into their singles there. We made it into the 92 person venue for Mancino and La Laque who closed out the night. Now, Mancino was great. Good songs and energy but La Laque (which could just mean shitty music in French, Im not sure) blew ass. We stayed for two songs but almost fell asleep during them. They claim to be French but everyone in the band speaks English and they all dress horribly. Watch out for that.
Also, the new Arcade Fire is wonerderous. I cant wait to see them live at Sasquatch which incidentally I have purchased tickets for. They are playing shows in NY again but who knows if I can get tickets.
Also, Also, Im going to see the Avett Brothers this Thursday. Bluegrass in NY. Who knew. I grabbed a few Avett Brothers albums from Curren, she put them in yay, (see file sharing) and I've transferred them to my iPod for my listening pleasure. Then, NEXT WEEK, Im going to see The Shins at the Madison Square Garden Theater on the 14th. I was also able to acquire The Shins new album from Chels off yay and it to lives on my iPod. I love Technology.
