I’m not gonna lie. I like being hassled from a distance. It makes me feel attractive. I don’t think that’s ever bad.
I’ve been living in one of the borrows of New York now for 28 wondrous days. My spell check is telling me wondrous isn’t a word. Maybe my spell check should get together with Will Ferrell. Anyhow, New York is pretty good. Last time I “moved out” I got a little chunkier because I just bought stuff I liked to eat which was pretty much 24 packs of corn dogs and I didn’t exactly eat the healthiest. But, here, I found that if I eat shitty all I have to do is go somewhere and all the walking I do getting there and back burns all of the top ramen and grilled cheese off. Now, even though I’m staying thin I’ll still probably die of a heart attack in the next few years.
Last weekend Chels and I went to Ikea and I finally gots myself some furniture for my room. Having a desk, bed stand and dresser really makes my room more home like. Plus, now I like totally have somewhere for all my stuffs which is great. I do, however, need some more arts because I have a lot of wall and not much to look at.
After being here for 11 days I found a job but ironically I haven’t started work yet. I was hired as a PA on the new Will Smith film I Am Legend. The deal with the movie is that Will’s character is the only human survivor of some post apocalyptic mutant virus to turn the rest of human kind in to like short vampires so whenever the movie is shooting the streets have to be either a.) completely empty or b.) filled with short vampire mutants. Also, they are filming the entire movie in the city. So the production has about 150 PAs because when you shut down 13 city blocks of New York you need a lot of people doing crowd control. Maybe. Yes.
Other than that I’ve just been keeping it real. I’ve been out to a few bars and I’m still learning my way around the city. I really love where I live. Brooklyn is pretty awesome. I live in an area called Prospect Heights which is near another area called Park Slope which I really, really love too. It’s about 20-30 minutes away, walking of course, but, I like to walk down there and just see whats new. When I’m walking it never feels that long.
Well, that’s all. I put a few pictures of my room on my Flickr page so you should check them out.
Why cant I be enhanced by Google? Fuck.
