So, some things I would like to touch on in today's blog:

-Starbucks
-Money
-Sunburns
-Recent Movies

First off I would like to paint a picture for you. One that incorporates my family at, incidentally, a family BBQ. As we all sit around the table discussing various Cates family hot topics such as my Grandpa's new grinder and my great grandmas new assisted living home, my aunt Lori brings up the new Starbucks on Francis. Its got this crazy siding on some of it that happens to be copper. Needless to say some hooligan in Spokane thought it would be a cleaver idea to throw an egg on it. When Lori reviled this fact to everyone else there was a drastic intake of breath. How could someone deface the new Starbucks? The copper siding! It would be stained forever. It was then I realized that we were talking about this Starbucks as a national monument. Like, this shit was today's top news story. The genuine look of concern on everyone's face was hilarious. What kind of a family would take that so seriously? Could this conversation happen at other family BBQs in America? Its not like my family is clueless. They are very political and love to bicker with each other about various things for example the world and those who lead it. At the same time they get caught up in meaningless conversation.
Now, every time I pass that Starbucks, I look for the alleged egg stain. Sometimes I think I spot it. Sometimes I see nothing at all. Never the less that Starbucks reminds me of how seriously people take things that aren't serious at all.

I don't really have much to say about money. I was just thinking the other day that I don't deal with money in a physical sense. All of the money I use is electronic. Just numbers. I hate to carry cash and I use my debit card all the time. My checks are directly deposited and I can see my account balance as well as recent activity online just as easily as the next guy. What are the advantages of carrying cash? It is faster? More secure? Does it help you to not spend as much? Having a few dollars around all the time to paying for parking or a pack of gum isn't so bad but I forget I have money and then I don't even use it when an opportune time arises. But, as I will be moving to NY soon, I feel like I might have to get used to using cash more often. Maybe in a cab or on the subway or at a hot dog cart for lunch. I guess I'll know better when I get there but I do loves my debit card.

So, this weekend being 4th of July ish and very hot led to my favorite aliment: The Sunburn. When I went to Mexico in May I pretty much killed myself with sunburns. After I returned home and took at trip to George Washington to Sasquatch I again sunburnt myself. The skin that has gotten it the worse is my beloved shoulders and my chest. All of my skin peeled off from the Mexico burn, especially in those areas and so whats being burnt now is new skin. I feel like in the recent months I have become a shoe in for cancer. Its not like Im not wearing the sun screen. I am trying to prevent the burns but its like they love me too much not to be apart of my life. I know, I'll probably die at 30 but the only thing I could do to prevent them all together would be to stay out of the sun and with my jam packed life I just don't see that happening. This, however, is good for Banana Boat because I predict I will single handedly up there profits for this quarter. I am always looking out for American corporations. Also, Im not really sure if they are an American corporation. Kisses!

Yo, so I have seen Superman Returns and The Devil Wears Prada in the last few days and I have to say I'm happy with both. I've now seen Superman twice and enjoyed it both times. I have to admit I only went to see The Devil Wears Prada because I heard the outfits were outstanding but the story and the acting were wonderful so it made my movie going experience superb. So, in short you should see both and also don't forget that Dead Mans Chest comes out the 7th. But, I feel like all of you that read this could never forget that fact. Also, all of you should be reading this. Just incase you like, forgot, or like, you thought I was dead or maybe someone told you I was dead. I'm not. Read this.
