Its been too long friends. I fear my legacy, as it were, has almost died. But, with today, the 19th of May, I'm officially back in business.

So, what have I been doing this long stretch of no Rachel time? Well, the usual; I made a movie then went to Mexico as most people do when such a undertaking has been finished. With that said, I would like to tell you a story.

Once upon a time there was a movie. An "independent" movie with a budget of 12 million dollars, a huge cast and a loaded story line. Such a movie was bound to have some problems but never did I anticipate problems such as these.
A short list of the aforementioned if you will:

-The movie was non-union* (see below)
-The crew went on strike
-The movie left Spokane and went to Canada
-The movie got kicked out of Canada
-The movie came back to Spokane
-The movie turned union (this added about 1 million dollars to the budget)
-The movie had 50 cent in it

*Movies of this caliber induce a certain amount of curiosity from outside parties. This movie, with its large amount of union workers, star studded cast and director grabbed the attention of the union bosses and caused a bit of commotion. Don't get me wrong, non-union movies are great. They make low budget movies possible. But making an independent movie with this cast AND crew was blasphemy from the start.

Because of all this and more the movie turned into a huge stress in my life. We were a week into shooting when the movie went on strike. We lost the movie to Canada, wrapped out the entire movie which consisted of us packing EVERYTHING into 4 trucks and sending them to Canada and THEN them movie came back to town. Luckily only one of the trucks had crossed the border but wrapping a movie then starting back up again in a week was horrendous. Think of all the things you need to produce a movie, all the things the Production Office is responsible for, travel arrangements, hotels, cast, crew, equipment, actor request, accounting, I could go on and on, and then think about a group of people who are really on top of there shit and how fast they can send things back and cancel reservations and such. After doing all that as fast as possible imagine them find out they need EVERYTHING they just got rid of back. To sum it up Rachel + Home of the Brave = WICKED CRAZY.

Anyways, I could go on forever. Apart from all that craziness my main boss was an ass hat the whole movie. But thats fine because I wont have to deal with him anymore. I'll be in NY by September 1st.

Hey, did I tell you I’m moving? Well I am. More on that in a second.

So, about a week before the movie ended an actress was like, I have a time share in Mexico for six, would you like to use it? And I was like yes, yes I would. So then I flew to Mexico with four other girls, got a really bad sun burn and now I'm back.

So, now, I'm "working" back at Best Buy again. Since the movie has finished I haven't actually worked there yet. I will start soon. I'm also looking into a job at a cool restaurant. I would like to be a hostess.

Sasquatch Music Festival is arriving shortly and I will be attending it. I'm really excited about it.

Chels gets back into town on Tuesday and I'm really excited about that too. Chels and I have an apartment in NY together with a third room mate who matches our abilities and skills in awesomeness.

So, with that, I will leave you to read something much more interesting and sensible. Check back often. I hope to keep this blogie blog up and running, new pictures and all.
