My name is Rachel Cates and I'm busy.
I started working on Nx's new movie,
Home of the Brave, last Thursday. We don't start shooting in Spokane for about a month but the shooting in Morocco starts in early March so we are in full swing at the office. My new position, Assistant Production Coordinator, is shaping up to be pretty classy. I have my own assistant and it looks like I'll be in charge of all the interns as well, some of whom will be older than me. I feel like a prodigy (fire starter) or some shit. Imdb doesn't have a cast list up yet, but as far as I know the cast is as follows: Samuel L Jackson, Brian Presley, Jessica Biel, Christina Ricci, Chad Michael Murray, 50 Cent, and some other women I always forget. Anyways, it looks like it's going to be the biggest thing I have worked on so far. I'm pretty excited.
On the other hand I'm staying on at Best Buy for one four hour shift a week on Sundays which is gonna blow since I wont have any days off for the rest of my life. I don't want to quit at Best Buy yet because I'm not completely sure if the next Nx movie, Zygote, has a green light yet. I need a fall back plan. I don't wanna be screwed plus I really like my discount and I feel as though I haven't used it enough. I still need a new computer chair, a larger memory card for my digital camera and ten million* box sets of Stargate SG-1.
This is all I have for now but I have been thinking that I will start to make weekly blog entries on the movie and how its going and of course funny stories about celebrities being douches. What do you think. Don't tell anyone.
