-Star Wars Episode III comes out on DVD Tuesday.
-Office Space special edition DVD ALSO comes out this Tuesday.
-I work two days this week. WEAK.
-I will spend approximately five hours cleaning my room and then fall asleep with all my clothes still piled on my bed.
-Its the Nordstrom’s Half Yearly Sale.
-Al Franken will be airing his radio show live from the Big Easy on the 1st.

Take care of yourselves.

You know, Canada does some great stuff. They have national health care, they give you gravy with your fries, and they sell crumpets and digestives and lovely Cadbury candy that you have a hard time finding unless you're in Britain. But, I'm so very much glad to be home. You know the problem with revisiting the same place over and over? You always think, hey, this time will be just as good as last time if not better! But this is assuming your trip is under the exact same circumstances as it was the other times which is never going to be the case unless you have some crazy Groundhogs Day thing going on. Anyways, I like my room and American TV and my bed and having other things to do but sleep. That last thing was something I could never see myself saying until now. Sleep gets boring, or, just, not as good when your bed sucks. I'm glad to be going back to work. Though, I've been thinking. I really want to get out of dodge. I want to find movie jobs not in the Spokane area. I would like to travel and I would like to give Best Buy the finger and leave just because I can. Of course the fact that I'm looking forward to going back to work should tell you that Best Buy isn't horrible but its not like my time investment there is helping me out in the movie area.

Anyways, I have a new book to read and I'm pretty excited to sleep in my own bed so I'm going to say goodnight and watch for some pictures soon.

Also, I missed you and my computer. Thank you.

Movies, are in essence, what you make of them. When someone sets out to make a movie their initial goal is to please themselves. They don't set out to win the hearts of critics or judges, they make something interesting to them. Something they see as challenging in their own eyes. So, how does one make a blockbuster? And how can someone become an award winner in the movie field? It seams to me that blockbusters contain a common recipe to please everyone. Though, some blockbusters can also win awards. In this day and age I've come to see blockbusters as a uninteresting form of film making. A something for everyone movie apears limiting and boring. As they all contain the same ingredients none of them ever have any sort of originality contained within them. You never take any part of them with you when you leave the theater. But then, when you look at award winning movies you may end up seeing the same thing. People win awards based on the amount of appeal the movie has. If enough people are equally impressed by a film it gains a certain status. But are people enjoying it because they all see the same sort of ingredients they are used to seeing in award winning movies or because in the end they all feel a certain way about it? I think it is because they all, each of them on their own, take something separate away from the movie. It effects them all in one way and for a moment they all have something in common, enough for them all to agree it was a good film, and from then on, it's dubbed so. Now, it's not that I don't get excited about seeing some movies that turn out to be blockbusters, but, I would rather see the later, an award winning movie. However, many of the movies I have come to love don't win critical acclaim. And I certainly don't love every movie that has won an award. So really, I would rather just see a movie that, when it's all over and done with, means something to me. Something that gives me ideas and adds another layer onto my already mile high maze of opinions.

Serenity was such a movie.

I must have this.

I'm an updating machine!

Check out Flickr for some more pictures. Im gonna tell you now that I didn't take out any kids for their tokens last night so don't even think it.

It's pretty much Fall here in Spokane and it pretty much blows. This week I think I just might rearrange my shoes into Fall wearing order and change out my tank tops for some sweaters. I've never been so depressed.

Also, I would really like to see Serenity. Thank you.
