Heya, Hi, Ho.

I'm back from my world travels. And when I say world travels I mean my trip down to Oregon in my Grandparents RV. And when I say trip I mean a horrible disaster of a vacation. I've really realized that family is sometimes better left unknown. I'm never going to stop loving my family, I'm talking about extended here, but, really, when I got to know a few of them better this past week I realized they weren't nearly as nice as I thought. No one was mean to me, but, watching them interact with each other, their own family, it just made me wonder how I hadn't noticed this behavior until now. Anyways, the places I visited were wonderful and the things I bought, or, were bought for me, kicked ass, so, I did have some fun, but, I don't think I'll ever be going on a vacation like that again. To me a vacation is getting away from all the normal things you have to do at home. Cooking, cleaning, taking car of pets and such, that type of thing. But, when you're in a motor home and you have to clean it and wash all the dishes after you use them and take the dog for a walk and by groceries every five minutes it's not really a vacation is it? Nah, I don't think it is. I'm just happy I got to go to Cannon Beach again. It's one of my most favorite places on earth.

So, right, I'm home. I have my second interview tomorrow at Best Buy at 10:00. I'd like to think I have mastered the one on one interview but I don't want to get cocky or anything. I'm sure it will go okay. After that Mom and I are heading out to the lake for the afternoon. I'm looking forward to that. It's pretty hot these days.

I'm going to a Coldplay concert on the 16th of August in Seattle. Chels is coming along too and we decided we would like to stay in the area for a few days and visit some friends. Probably no more then 3 days but I'm still looking forward to that too.

So, that's me for a while. Check out my Flickr page for my vacation pictures.

Well I finished Potter.

I leave today at 7:00 am for the Oregon coast. I still have to pack.

The wedding was good.

I think J.K. Rowling hates me.

Sometimes at weddings I get to thinking about things and then I feel sad.

I'll be gone for about a week.

I hope you will miss me.

This week has been pretty good so far. Monday I didn't do much of anything that I remember (Rio) but Tuesday I found a nice little outfit for the wedding on Saturday and then I went out and found myself at a bar called the Blue Spark for some happenin trivia. Today I got a call from Best Buy (I filled out an online application last week) and they were like do come in for a group interview and dress business casual. I was like, oh geez. Buisness casual? Im a bag fan of jeans and skirts but I don't have any khakis or black slacks so I spent the later part of this evening shopping with out any success. I thought, if worse comes to worse, I'll throw on a nice skirt and shirt and hopefully they wont mind a bit. So, Friday is the group interview at 2:00 and as long as I don’t go naked, I think I'll come out on top. (We bring the bump to the grind, uh huh I don't mind, we're on top?) Yes, yes we are.

Also, I would like to tell you all a story. Back in my high school days I was quite taken by a Anime program called Sailor Moon. I watched it each day on Cartoon Network at 4:30 and soon after I filled my room with various Sailor Moon memorabilia. On a side note I also ran a huge Sailor Moon website (Sailor Moon Planet!) and I believe someone on my links list just happened to frequent my site. Sorry, no names. So, anyways, awesome Sailor Moon toys were hard to come by in the states but to my luck we went to Canada and I picked up some SWEET Sailor Moon stuff at a Toys R Us in Kelowna. Of course it's present day now and I have no use for such things as they just take up room and collect dust so I thought one night, I though, why don't I try and list some of my things on Ebay. I located my most favorite Sailor Moon toy, took a picture of it, priced it right up and I was officially accepting bids on it. The opening bid was $9.00. Its now up to $26.00 and has been caught up in a nasty bidding war which I couldn't be more happy about. Not only am I sharing the Sailor Moon love but Im benefiting from it as well. That's hot.

Tonight my family, along with Jen, John's sister and John himself, went out to dinner as a sort of last hurrah since John leaves for the great white expanse Friday. So, right, tomorrow Im going to go on a last ditch shopping spree and try to find some khakis that are long enough for my heinous legs. I shall need luck in my tough endeavor.

I could really use a job.

I love music. It transcends time. Its not like with clothes where you buy them this summer and they will have to be replaced next summer. You can listen to a Cd and never know when it was released. A Cd released in 99’ can give you just as much pleasure as a Cd released in 67’ or the present. How can you beat that?

I cant remember what I did on specific days last week. Steve Jobs would probably tell me something has to change. I would agree with him. However, I have some plans this week. Firstly, John leaves for Alaska on the morning of the 15th so all John time must be scheduled immediately. I think he wants to go to Silverwood on Wednesday so I'm sure I'll keep him company there and I'd like to go out once more before he leaves so maybe I'll be able to fit that in too. Thursday I've been instructed to call North by Northwest to see about the status of the next movie assuming there is one to have a status on. Friday night I kick off the summer seasons of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis then I've got to run out and buy my Harry Potter at Barnes and Noble. Saturday I have a wedding to go to and I still don't have anything to wear so I've got to take care of that this week too. Anyways, I'm happy to have some plans this week. Sleeping all day isn't nearly as exciting as it used to be.

5:10 PM

I'm really, really tired. I was just about to go to bed at about 2:50 this morning after watching some episodes of Stargate when I checked the Google News pull like I normally do. The first headline up wasn't about reporters going to jail or NASA, but explosions in London. In the beginning, things weren't clear. I kept reading news reports about energy surges and possible train crashes but then one loan bus with its top blown off made it into the news and things pretty much went downhill from there. I stayed up for as long as I could watching the news and keeping an eye on the internet. I saw Tony Blair's address at 4:00 and then listened to the news until I finally got to sleep around 6:00. My dad came into the basement a few minutes later when I immediately woke up, gave him the short and long of things, passed the remote over too him and went upstairs to my bed. My aunt called a few hours later (I had called her at 3:00 leaving a message about getting in touch with our family in the UK) with more news and I told her what I knew in conjunction.

I love London. It's a great city full of culture and the people there are kind and generous. The attacks this morning made me sad. But, I do think London is strong. Just the day before they won the honor of having the 2012 Olympics. People will still take the tube to work and the busses will run again. People pull together when this type of thing happens and London can only get stronger. I'm thinking about you London. I know you'll be okay.

Hi Hi Hi.

It's the 4th of July.

I've been a sick sam all weekend laying about in my bed watching the greatest first season on DVD of all time: Arrested Development. I've now officially seen each episode twice and I have thoroughly enjoy them all. I'm a little bitter I never made it out to the lake this weekend but the weather was at its best today and I laid out in the backyard and darkened my tan so all was not lost. I can always go out to the lake during the week as well.

On top of me being sick not much else is new. I changed my desktop along with the theme and it turned out super sweet.

Ive decided I should probably get a job. I have one but as there is no work for me to do at this job there is also no money for Rachel and I really want to just have a reason to get up in the morning. John is going to head up to Alaska pretty soon so all my entertainment will be gone and I'll need something to do with my time. I don't think World of Warcraft is going to cut it.

Ive been listening to the catchiest song today. I know Ive ranted about Phoenix on this blog of mine before and Micah was kind enough to give me the first Cd they put out and on this cd of firsts is a song titled If I Ever Feel Better. I think its spectacular. Catchie. Wonderful. You get the idea. Anyways, you could check it out. Whats the worst that could happen?

Um, also, Im sure lots of you know Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince comes out July 16th. Ive got a wedding on the 16th as well and apart from not having anything to wear to the wedding Im sure its going to be slow torture if I haven't yet finished HBP. Anyways, ON TOP of that, the summer season premiers of both Stargate SG-1 AND Stargate Atlantis are on July 15th the same night I must go and pick up my new Harry Potter book at midnight. Really, don't you think these people could take into account my heinous schedule? Its not like I ever have anything else going but so many nerdy events in that short of time would burn anyone out. On a side note, someone want to escort me to this wedding? Hahaha.

Fireworks are banned in Spokane. I need some festivity.

Today was an all out Rachel shopping extravaganza. You know in movies when someone goes out shopping and they just end up having a ridicules amount of bags when it's all over? Clueless style? That was me today. It was fantastic. I know what your thinking: Rachel must be made out of money! Well I am. Birthday money. PLUS! I got my nails did. First time ever. My toes are very cute.

Yo, Foo Fighters rock. Rock hard.

So this weekend I'm heading out to Deer Lake. But firstly, I'm going out to the bars. I pretty much have the most coordinated outfit ever. I'm sorry, I'll stop talking about clothes.

Has anyone seen War of the Worlds yet?

Gillian is home! Yayayayaya!

I cleaned my room. It took four hours.

That's pretty much all I have.

Oh yeah, Tash, I need your address. I know I have it somewhere and it's not like I have never sent you anything (minus a tie) but I need it again.

Someone play tennis with me.
