It is in fact Monday and I have not, in fact, received any sort of notification from NYU on the status of my transfer application. I did however call today like I have in the past and I was kindly informed that a decision had been made about my application, but it wasn't final, but I should be receiving an answer in a week or week and a half. So, there you have it. I have a feeling this will damage any chance I have of spending part of my summer in Florence, but, in the end, if I were to get into NYU, I think I wouldn't feel so bad after all.
My recluse status took a nose dive this weekend when I finally got out of the house. My Aunt Tracy from the UK is in town so she and I and my dear Aunt Lori all went and saw Fever Pitch. Good times. I was surprised to see a familiar face in one of the scenes. It was none other then Hal, End Game's 1st Assistant Director. He works on all the Farrelly Brother's movies and even had a little cameo in this one. What can I say, it was pretty awesome to see him on the big screen.
Sunday I saw Sahara with my mother and father which I also enjoyed. I thought it would be good, like, a nice little action movie and I was much more impressed with it then expected. Then, hold on, I went and saw Kari and Adams new house. Built circa 1950 it's a cute little home that I'm sure they will do well in. We went to Chili's for dinner then watched The Incredibles afterwards. It was nice to get out.
Today I continued the trend by stopping by
Applebee's and to pick up an application. Im not getting rid of my Eastern job but I have so much free time on my hands that another job wont hurt. I figured that if the movie NxNw is planning on filming mid may needs a little Rachel help working at Applebee's would be very flexible. So, right, I did that, and then headed over to the mall to pay my Express bill then headed on home. It was sunny and pleasant out which I'm sure added to my enjoyment of being outside.
Congratulations are now due to my sister who was accepted today at
Parsons School of Design. I'm pretty excited about it and I didn't even get in so I'm sure she is ecstatic. I'm worried that everyone will be in New York but me. I sure hope NYU finds me to be good enough.
This week I hope to run out to Cheney and hold some meetings with department heads so I have some work to do on the web site. Im gonna drop my Applebee's application off tomorrow and hopeful hear back from them about my employment prospects. I haven't much going on still but
The Killers concert is coming up fast as well as my first wedding of 2005, so when the end of April arrives I will become much more interesting.
Till then.

Well, I got into NYU Summer Study Abroad in Florence, Italy. All that remains is to see if I got into NYU and Tisch respectively. Hopefully I will find out tomorrow.
Wish me luck.

I need some hobbies that require me to leave the house. Any suggestions?
I fear I'm on my way to becoming a boring person.
I decided to returned my lusted after
shoes but after some searching I settled on exchanging them instead for some other
shoes, this time with laces. My foot is pretty narrow and being able to change the width of my shoe is valuable to me. Laces it is.
Facebook is losing its luster as predicted by the many that have used and abused it. Maybe, if the kids at Eastern had things in common with me, Facebook would be more appealing for a longer period of time. But, I have discovered what I suspected for a long time now: No one at Eastern reads for fun and they all are in love with Country music and bad movies. Its alright I guess. I'm not taking classes there anyways.
I hung out with the illusive Micah this weekend. We hit up Sin City, which was more then just violent, but still well received. It has got to set a record for most voice over dialog in a movie. When reading comics you do see what characters are thinking so its effectiveness is noted and appreciated. I also enjoyed the color pallet, or lack of one. It was interesting to see what was colored and what wasn't. Blood turned out to be white or red and I never did discover how ones blood color was determined. If I see it again I will pay more attention to it. Anyways, it's not a movie for everyone so I wont recommend it. I will say go and see it if you're up for something thats not Fever Pitch or Sahara. Hanging with Micah was an excellent time.
With that Im going to retire to some corn dogs and a just started, soon to be finished, book. I've raided my Grandmas british book collection and I stumbled on a author I quite like, so for the time being I have something to entertain me.
Do me a favor and have a good Monday.

Well kids, it finally happened. EWU got
the face book. I'm not sure how, and I'm not sure why, but we have it and it's probably the end of me. Just thought you should know.

I'm feeling much better today. I came down with a "I cant swallow anything and my whole body hurts" type of sickness on Friday but after sleeping entirely too much and living off Chloraseptic spray and Ricola I'm starting to feel much better. Hopefully I will be recovered and back to full health by this Friday since I've got some hot plans which are the highlight of my oh so dull week.
NxNw called yesterday and asked me to come in this week but then called this morning and said to hold off a little bit longer. Im not sure what that means but I went back to sleep anyways.
I've got a meeting with the Dean of Students tomorrow about the EWU web site. I must inform him that I'm no longer a student at his fine institution, HAHAH, and then ask him if I will be able to work more then 20 hours because of it. Oh, and get myself a raise. We will see how that pans out.
My Aunt and Uncle of the Cates side had their second baby yesterday and after great debate Cooper Cates joined the family. I for one love Riley, their five year old son, because his name isn't at all related to that of a dog. I really wish someone would have consulted me first. Cooper, though not as harsh as, lets say, Garth (see: what my mom wanted to call me if I was a boy...she had it out for me from the start) but its close. Maybe it will grown on me. Since I'm sickly I thought it better to stay home and send my camera to the hospital yesterday, so even though Cooper and I haven't been formally introduced, Ive seen him via the miracle of digital technology.
Congratulations are in order to a one Miss Gillian of Concord California. I sure hope our master plan works.
I broke down and ordered the most wonderful
shoes in the world last Friday morning and today they arrived in mint condition. They fit just okay. I'm not sure If I just need to get used to the fit or what but I really like the looks of them and would feel bad sending back a shoe I've been lusting over for such a long time. Maybe once I get used to them and have the chance to break them in I will be singing a different song. Hopefully.
If you haven't already, please discover for yourself the greatness that is Arrested Development. Its on Fox. Its more then just funny. I will soon have season one on DVD to watch.
Tis all for now. My corn dogs are calling from the oven.
