Debates II

"President Bush invading Iraq after 9/11 is like FDR invading Mexico after Pearl Harbor."

I'm happy with the topics covered. Kerry was definitely able to touch on some of his main campaign points that Americans might have not hear as of yet. Bush was able to keep saying what he has been saying for months. Through all the stuttering and long, silent pauses, Bush told me this: That he believes a "free" Iraq will insure a safer America and that he has a stance and that it never changes, even when he makes a mistake. I felt like Bush didn't always answer the questions he was given. He ended up rephrasing some of the questions so that he could answer them like he wanted, so that he could say things he knew. But then, Bush still ended up getting a few of his facts wrong, some he had just stated in front of committees weeks before (specifically in regards to the number of trained troops in Iraq). Irregardless, Bush pretty much preformed like I thought he would. Kerry's appeal was much stronger in my opinion. His points were well made. I loved how Kerry used statistics and facts to get his points acknowledged. Either way we all know who I'm voting for. I really hope you took the time to watch the debate.
